Solar Repairs

If you have a burst geyser it is wise to phone Solnet.
What to do when you suspect you have a burst geyser
- Water marks or dripping near the geyser
- Switch off the water supply to your property, the valve to the main water supply
- Turn off your geyser switch at the electrical board
- Open all hot water taps to drain and relieve pressure from the geyser cylinder and to limit damage to your property and goods
- Check if your geyser is still under warrentee
- Call your insurer
- Phone SOLNET who have PIRB qualified plumbers and are registered with the Plumbing Industry Registration Board, to identify and fix your problem
- The onus and responsibility is on the owner of a solar geyser to have it serviced at least once a year to maintain the good working condition of the solar geysers and for safety reasons.
- The Plumber will issue a COC (Certificate of Compliance), when a new geyser is installled at an additional cost.
