Solar Repairs

Solnet also does solar geyser repairs,  and solar panel repairs if and where it is possible,  it all depends on the particular system involved. Check out our Solar Repair section.

If you have a burst geyser it is wise to phone Solnet.

What to do when you suspect you have a burst geyser

  1. Water marks or dripping near the geyser
  2. Switch off the water supply to your property, the valve to the main water supply
  3. Turn off your geyser switch at the electrical board
  4. Open all hot water taps to drain and relieve pressure from the geyser cylinder and to limit damage to your property and goods
  5. Check if your geyser is still under warrentee
  6. Call your insurer
  7. Phone SOLNET who have PIRB qualified plumbers and are registered with the Plumbing Industry Registration Board, to identify and fix your problem
  8. The onus and responsibility is on the owner of a solar geyser to have it serviced at least once a year to maintain the good working condition of the solar geysers and for safety reasons.
  9. The Plumber will issue a COC (Certificate of Compliance), when a new geyser is installled at an additional cost.
